Cas12b mRNA

Cas12b mRNA (N1-Me-Pseudo UTP) expresses Cas12b (formerly C2c1) enzyme, which is known for its small size, high specificity, and ability to create double-stranded breaks with 6–8 nucleotide sticky ends. As a dual-RNA guided enzyme, it requires both crRNA and tracrRNA to bind and cleave DNA. Its smaller size (approx. 1100 amino acids) makes it better suited for viral delivery systems, and it exhibits high sensitivity to mismatches, resulting in lower off-target effects compared to Cas9. Cas12b mRNA can be formulated in LNP with guides for gene editing related research and development.

• Cap 1 (N7-methylguanosine Cap) with high capping efficiency 
• Poly(A) tail with 100 consecutive A 
• 5’ and 3’ UTR with proven efficient translation 
• ORF with codon optimization
• N1-methyl-pseudouridine modification
