Product description

FLuc circular RNA is capable of expressing luciferase protein in cells after transfection. The protein was originally extracted from the firefly (Photinus pyralis). Luciferase can catalyze the oxidation of luciferin to produce oxyluciferin, emitting yellow-green bioluminescence (wavelength of 550-570 nm), and the light intensity directly reflects the expression level of luciferase. This product can serve as a positive control for mRNA transfection, and further be used for screening and validation of delivery formulations or expression systems.

This circular RNA features following structure: 

  • IRES region for translation initiation
  • Poly(A) tail
  • 5’ and 3’ UTR with proven efficient translation 
  • ORF with codon optimization
